ABOUT
Advanced Wellness Center is designed to provide the Dubuque area with family centered care. Nicole Schlosser has been working as a practitioner in our community since 2006. Over the years, many of Nicole’s female patients have expressed the desire for her to care for the men and children in their lives. The idea on expansion to service both men and women has stimulated this business venture. To better serve our community, Advanced Wellness Center is seeing adults and adolescents, age ten and older. Our clinic is based on a patient focus model, where we listen and work with individuals to form personalized health care.
Nicole M. Schlosser, MSN, FNP, ARNP
Family Nurse Practitioner
President/CEO
A native of Dubuque, Nicole resides in the community with her husband and four children. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in 1998 and her Master of Science in Nursing/Family Nurse Practitioner degree in 2003, both from Clarke University. Nicole is licensed through the Iowa Board of Nursing as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner and certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Nicole strives to balance her busy family life with her productive practice. She says, "Every day is interesting and I am never sure what curve balls will be thrown, but I wouldn't have it any other way." Nicole is highly involved with children’s extracurricular activities and community service. She takes her patients in with open arms, as family, and they are treated as such. It is a unique way to practice, working with patients and families to make sure all their needs are met.
Claire M. Nemmers DNP, ARNP, FNP-BC
Family Nurse Practitioner
As a native of Dubuque, Claire has recently moved back to her home town with her husband. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Clarke University in 2014 and her Doctorate of Nursing Practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Clarke University in 2017. Claire is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Nursing Credentialing Center and licensed through the Iowa Board of Nursing as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner. Claire’s primary focus is to provide a higher level of patient centered personalized care to her patients and the Dubuque community.
Prior to working at Advanced Wellness Claire worked as an Internal Medicine/Skilled Nursing Facility Nurse Practitioner, covering multiple Skilled Nursing Facilities thought out Eastern Iowa. She has also provided mentorship to many new Nurse Practitioners throughout her years of practice. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, spending days on the river, traveling, spending time at the spin/yoga studio, and playing golf.
